On April 17th Stan Merriman brought in 4 members of the Jewish community to
put on a radio show. The guests called for the defense of Israel and
supported the "defensive actions" of the IDF.
Bob Buzzanco had a show right afterwards. He and 6 other people were
standing outside of the studio door waiting for the Jewish Voices (JV) crew
to leave.
By the time the JV crowd, including Donna de La Paz, along with Merriman,
Greg Gieselman and Edwin Johnston had assembled in the parking lot, an
allegation had been made that Buzzanco had slurred one or more members of
JV.
The following is a report on the incident including statements from the
independent eye-witnesses, statements made by non-eyewitnesses, the start
and continuation of a national smear campaign, George Barnstone's resolution
for an investigation at the April 24th KPFT LAB meeting and Barnstone's lack
of an investigation. As of this writing, May 22th 2:00pm, Barnstone has
received one email from an independent eye-witness (Janice Blue). Barnstone
made no effort to contact Buzzanco for his statement on the events.
Because Barnstone has not carried out an investigation I contacted
the independent eye witnesses and had each send me a statement.
All of the independendt eyewitnesses report that Buzzanco did not make an ethnic slur
towards the JV group. An ethnic slur is serious business in Pacifica, but
just as serious is to use false charges of ethnic slurring to discredit someone
in Pacifica. The making, posting and repeating of this allegation then is a
lying SMEAR campaign.
